Hi Robert -
Great reminder. The key to it is to have enough VOLUME of marketing activity so that the results in tweaks can be measured. If your 'marketing' involves sending out one "allow me to introduce myself" (yawn!) letter a week, then to see the effect of tweaks, you're going to have a long wait to see any real and measurable change!
